Privacy policy
Short version: your files never leave your device, and we collect no personal data without your consent.

In one line: NeoKit processes photos, signatures and PDFs entirely inside your browser. We never receive, store or see your files or the numbers you type into calculators.
1. Who we are
This website, neokit.site ("NeoKit", "we", "us"), is owned and operated by phpdev.in, India. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and the DPDP Rules, we are the Data Fiduciary for the limited personal data described below.
2. Data we do NOT collect
- Your files. Images and PDFs you choose are read and processed by JavaScript running on your own device. They are not uploaded to NeoKit or to anyone else.
- Your calculator inputs. Salary, tax, date of birth, GST, invoice and rent-receipt details are computed in your browser. Generated PDFs are created on your device.
- Accounts. There is no signup or login, so we hold no names, passwords or profiles.
3. Data stored only on your device
To make the site convenient, we save a few preferences in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device:
- Theme choice (light/dark):
nk-theme - Last-used exam preset and tool settings, for example
nk-exam-preset - Your consent choice:
nk-consent
You can clear them at any time through your browser settings. These are strictly necessary or functional and do not need consent.
4. Analytics (only with your consent)
At present, NeoKit does not load any analytics or tracking scripts. If we enable analytics in the future, it will load only after you give consent in the banner, and you can withdraw consent at any time from "Cookie & privacy settings" in the footer. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
Analytics data is aggregated and is used only to improve the site. We do not sell or share it for advertising.
5. Advertising
NeoKit does not currently show ads. If we add ads in future, personalised ads will be shown only with your consent, ads will never block a tool, and this policy will be updated first.
6. Server logs and hosting
Our pages are served by a static hosting and CDN provider (such as Cloudflare Pages). Like every web server, the provider may process technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, for security, abuse prevention and delivery. This data is handled under the provider's own privacy policy, and we do not use it to identify you.
7. Emails you send us
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply and to keep a record of the conversation. We delete correspondence when it is no longer needed, generally within 24 months.
8. Purpose, lawful basis and retention
| Data | Purpose | Basis | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Files and calculator inputs | Running the tool | Processed only on your device | Never received by us |
| Local preferences | Remembering your settings | Legitimate use / strictly necessary | Until you clear them |
| Analytics (if enabled) | Improving the site | Your consent (DPDP Act s.6 / GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) | Aggregated; raw data at most 14 months |
| Emails | Replying to you | Your request | Up to 24 months |
9. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, 2023 you have the right to access information about your personal data, to correct or erase it, to withdraw consent, to nominate another person to exercise your rights, and to grievance redressal. Visitors from the EU/UK also have rights under the GDPR, including objection and portability. Since we hold almost no personal data, most requests are answered quickly. Write to privacy@neokit.site.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
10. Children
Many exam aspirants are students. NeoKit does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children under 18. We do not do behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising directed at children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent us personal data (for example by email) can ask us to delete it.
11. Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Because files are processed locally, there is no central store of user files that could be breached. We follow reasonable security practices as required by the IT Act, 2000 and the rules made under it.
12. Third-party links
We link to official sources such as exam notifications and government websites. Their privacy practices are their own.
13. Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the "last updated" date. For significant changes affecting consent, we will ask for your consent again.
14. Contact and Grievance Officer
